Two CMOS Motherboard Types you need to know

CMOS Motherboard has several types that you need to know. CMOS commonly referred to as Complementary Metal Oxide Semiconductor is a component that is often found on a variety of modern computer devices. CMOS technology is a semiconductor technology (IC / Integrated circuit) used to make devices such as processors, various computer chips, DRAM and so on. CMOS in general has the advantage that this component usually requires very little power to operate than other types of semiconductor technology.

This is what makes CMOS an option to use as memory storage information on the motherboard. With the use of low resources, the battery used can also last for a long time. Usually until the age of many years.

To understand the use of CMOS in a computer beforehand we must first understand the difference between BIOS and CMOS. BIOS and CMOS are often regarded by most people as the same thing and are a unity. But in reality these two types of components are not the same thing. The visible difference between the two components lies in the function that exists in both types of these components. Although different these two components work very well and simultaneously support each other.

In particular, CMOS on most computers acts as a special RAM chip. Unlike the other RAM types CMOS has its own power source which is CMOS-shaped battery. These resources do not depend on the primary resources that are present on the computer. So even if the primary resources of the computer have been discontinued, CMOS will still retain the data contained within this component.

TTL IC is one of the other types of electronic components that have similar bases to CMOS. This component is a component commonly found in the use of modern electronic devices. Many TTL ICs are also used in various digital circuits. The use of IC has a relatively low voltage source, which is only between 4.75 V to 5.25 V. Unlike the CMOS IC TTL IC components do not have the capacity to perform information storage media such as RAM that can be done by CMOS IC.

CMOS IC use a pair of MOSFET transistor systems in their internal circuits that consume very low power so sometimes there is no power at all when they are "On" or Off ". Therefore, the energy consumption of electric and energy in CMOS is very low. This is one of the advantages possessed by CMOS IC when compared to other types. With lower heat levels, this allows for the use of smaller internal transistors. In the end this will make the components inside become more complex with more complicated functions.
